Buying a discount
Sometimes buying something you didn't want gives you a deal that far outweighs the cost of the item you bought.... (Piggy bank rule #3)
Confusing?  Here is an example.  I am on a mailing list that promotes new released books on amazon.  If you buy the book on one of these 2 days you get a discount to these stores.  This is where you do the math-if the book costs $25 is a 50% off discount to a store worth it?  Well it depends--Piggy Bank Rule #2 says "If you wern't going to buy it anyway than it's NOT a good deal no matter how cheap it is!" That is a good one to live by!  However if the store is somewhere you shop often and the discount will yield you atleast $25 (even if you break even you are still getting a brand new book that you could sell elsewhere or enjoy--but you do need to atleast break even) then it would potentially be a good deal.
I bought the $25 book one time and ended up saving $400 on an order I was just about to purchase!  GREAT deal. I'll post on the homepage when I get more of these book deals.

No More Rack
This site works like Groupon on in the sense that there are deals for just one day only.  Each day there are 8 different deals in different categories (women, home, accessories, etc).  The discounts can be really good--up to 90% off.
